Rex Ryan Laughs Off Overrated Vote as the Jets Circus Comes Off The Bye Week
New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan responded just as one would figure when he talked about the 103 players who were polled voted him the most overrated coach in the NFL. Ryan laughed it off, and joked about being ahead of Bill Belichick, telling the New York Daily News:
Har har. Ryan wasn't done there, as the head man of the spiraling 3-5 team said 'at the end of year, we'll see who's overrated.' Well, at least he's confident. One would hope he would continue to be, despite his team being tied for last in the AFC East and heading into Seattle where the Seahawks haven't lost yet.
Now old man Joe Namath is back to blasting his former team. Namath made noise earlier this summer questioning loudly why the team would bring in Tim Tebow (a question that still hasn't been answered). Namath is now saying that for the last couple years that the Jets' 'talent has regressed.' Namath made his comments on The Jets Blog podcast, where he was wondering why it was so hard to find talent for the Jets when other teams are able to sign quality players. He also said this:
I think the amount of playing Tebow has logged so far pretty much answers that.
