Bart Scott Says Heckling Jets Fans Probably Got Picked Last in Dodgeball

Nothing surrounding the New York Jets can just go quietly. The video of the players getting destroyed by fans as they walked into the locker room at halftime of their Thanksgiving game disaster blew up, and now linebacker Bart Scott has responded. Scott insulted those who were voicing their opinions to the New York Daily News.

The person yelling at you probably was picked last in dodgeball all through high school. So do you care about the opinion of them? No.

Nice. The person yelling at you also probably wants their favorite team to not suck and give up 35 points in the second quarter. The person yelling also spent a nice chunk of money to watch you perform at a level worthy of the NFL logo on your uniform. That's what makes the other part of Scott's quote so great.

Scott actually said this part at the beginning of his answer:

At the end of the day, if you made it to be able to put an NFL uniform on, then you are one of the best athletes in the world.

Absolutely, 100 percent true. Is it too much for fans to ask that you go out there and play like it? In that Thanksgiving night game, only one team looked like it was made up of some of the best athletes in the world and they weren't wearing green and white. So I think that the fans telling the Jets they were bums and that they sucked were right on the money.

According to NFL.com, head coach Rex Ryan spoke to Scott about his comments and told him to appreciate the fans.
