Besides offering us our first real-look of Richard Armitrage as Thorin Oakenshield, the new thirty-second TV spot for the first Hobbit flick of the Peter Jackson's new trilogy gives us plenty of Bilbo, Gandalf, danger and drama. It's been closing in on a decade since The Return of the King, which means fantasy fanboys are probably drooling at the bit for any frame containing a Hobbit, dragon, elf or shot of New Zealand, so I'm sure all the footage from this trailer will be dissected frame-by-frame and analyzed more than the Zapruder film in JFK.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey opens December 14th.
