They may all be pushing 40 and have the actual talent of third round American Idol rejects, but the buzz of the Olympic closing ceremony surrounded not the athletes, but the return of the group that first made the phrase 'Girl Power!' popular, then lame, the popular again. Yes, the Spice Girls are back!
Performing a medley of their biggest hits, Posh, Ginger, Baby, Sporty and Spice returned to the stage to remind the globe that if the world can come together and unite for the Olympics, why can't five moderately talented but super hot female singers do the same? While the other four were hardly able to hide their disdain for how awesome Victoria Beckham's life must be, they managed to wow the crowd and once again make our knickers a wee bit tighter while watching them perform.
