Assassin’s Creed III Opens Up with First Episode of “Inside” (VIDEO)

The First of a Multipart Series Begins Now

These behind the scenes videos are a chance for the game publishers to make everybody who has worked on the game feel a bit better about themselves because everyone wants to be on TV. Or even web video. For fans of Assassin's Creed III, this first episode of the "Inside Assassin's Creed III" series reinforces the point of it all by reminding us that new technology, innovative gameplay and historical accuracy are all coming together.

Key scene to watch out for: when Connor runs up a building, through its window and out a back window with the game not stuttering one bit. This is how far we've come in video game technology. The whole indoor/outdoor transition used to be a big deal because game designers wouldn't show you anything you didn't need to see until you really needed to see it. Outside was outside and your game system would load it up once your character walked out of a door. Now they just build a world, it's there and you can run around in it and do the same things inside a building that you can do outdoors.

Secondary key scene to watch: an inordinate number of bearded gentlemen smiling and saying fascinating things. You should grow a beard.
