Osi Umenyiora of the Giants – ‘Who is RG3? You Mean Bob Griffin?’
New York Giants sack machine Osi Umenyiora may have given us the best quote of the year, and training camps haven't even started yet. The New York post reports that the defensive end was doing some media stuff in New York, and Osi was asked about Redskins rookie QB/savior Robert Griffin III, often referred to as RG3, during a radio interview. Take it away, Osi.
That's some solid pre-camp trash talk right there, that's a ten-year vet bringing some serious trash talk heat.
On one hand, Umenyiora is completely right. Dudes should earn cool nicknames. On the other hand, those are Griffin's initials. It's not like everyone's calling Griffin something crazy like 'Touchdown Train' or something ridiculous. All this does though is make me want football to start already.
Umenyiora gets his first crack at Bob Griffin on October 21st in New York.
