Dwight ‘Howard The Lame Duck’ Will Not Sign Any Extension According to His Agent

The Dwight Howard circus train continues to fly around the track comically fast and there appears to be no end in sight. Not even a full day after RealGM.com reported that sources connected to Howard said he would sign an extension if he was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, Howard's agent says, um, that's not quite accurate.

ESPN.com had this quote which appears to blow those sources close to Howard right out of the water.

"Dwight's position has remained unchanged since the end of this past season," said Dan Fegan of LaGardere Unlimited. "He fully intends to explore free agency at the end of next season, regardless of what team trades for him, including Brooklyn."

Gah. What the hell is going on with this guy? This might be the worst flip-flopping job ever done by an athlete and his 'team' that we've ever seen. This is making Brett Favre's final years in the NFL look sane.

Everything that Howard or his agent says now just gives Orlando all the leverage right back. When he tried to handpick the Nets as the only place he would go, Orlando tried to figure it out. Then Brooklyn said eff it, and signed Kris Humphries and Brook Lopez to new deals. Then Howard supposedly says, 'sure, I'll sign with the Lakers.'

The Magic can now just sit back and tell Dwight to play the next year there, where he will probably get harassed nightly by the hometown fans. I doubt he wants that. So then what? Oh, maybe Dwight will be open to playing for a few more teams.
