Roger Clemens Found Not Guilty of Perjury, Obstruction
Roger Clemens was found not guilty on six charges that he lied to congress when he said he never used steroids while being one of the most dominant pitchers of a generation.
Clemens was charged with two counts of perjury, one count of obstructing congress, and three counts of making false statements. Clemens denied ever using performance enhancing drugs while giving a deposition at a congressional hearing in 2008.
With a record 7 Cy Young Awards and 354 career wins, Clemens was considered a lock for the Hall of Fame before he came under the suspicion of using PEDs. Clemens wasn't on trial for using PEDs, just whether or not he lied about using them.
