Spidey and Gwen, and His Untold Story
|
The goal of Hollywood is to outdo itself with every movie remake. Coming just five years after the Spider-Man franchise that starred Tobey Maguire concluded, Marc Webb is hoping to spin a new tale from the familiar webbed comic book domain with The Amazing Spider-Man.
Truth be told, this remake is starting off pretty amazing. They've managed to hook audience to the premise of an all-new storyline that features never-before-scene villains (in particular, the Lizard, which you can take a look at here) or his brand spankin' new girlfriend, Gwen Stacy, who's played by none other than Emma Stone.
Stacy isn't as well-known as Peter Parker's previous girlfriend named Mary Jane, so this featurette that casts the spotlight on the Parker and Stacy tandem came just in time. Hit 'play' to watch the clip that shows Stone and co-star Andrew Garfield talk about their characters' on-screen romance.
It's no coincidence that both stars also happen to be dating in real life. That probably helped get the juices flowing when they filmed some of their more lovey dovey scenes in the movie, don't you think?
The Amazing Spider-Man opens in 2D, 3D, and IMAX theaters on July 3rd, with stars Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field joining Garfield and Stone.
