Like a lot of people, I figured Boston would wrap up the Eastern Conference Finals last night. Miami seemed to be in disarray, the Celtics seemed reborn and confident. I guess LeBron James had heard enough of the criticism.
Miami 98 - Boston 79
45 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists. Not a bad game for LeBron with the series on the line. Unless you ask someone like Skip Bayless, who apparently thinks game six on the road in the Conference Finals isn't a pressure situation. That's the problem with being LeBron James, no matter what you do, it's going to get criticized.
The most striking thing to me last night was the total absence of expression on LeBron's face as he was putting on a free basketball clinic for the world to see. He was just stone faced, like an assassin who has taken all emotion out of what he does and just goes about his business because someone is paying him to do it.
I really thought the Heat were done, but I should have known better. Now it's comical listening to the 'experts' who after each Heat loss say it's time to trade Dwyane Wade. Then the Heat win, and the same people start saying again that they think the Heat are going to win the Larry O'Brien trophy.
I still think Miami needs to replace Erik Spoelstra at coach, and the only way they don't is if they win the championship.
Can't wait for game seven.
