We all wanted to be best friends with Batman, Superman and Green Lantern when we were young didn't we? OK, well if you didn't want them to be your mates you must have at least wanted to see them in a film together. That's better!
Well with Marvel Studios The Avengers making so much money it would make some countries weep, Warner Bros are hoping that they can pull together their DC heroes for a Justice League film that will no doubt rival the efforts of Thor, Captain America, Iron Man and The Hulk. And I tell you what, it probably would you know.
The Justice League comprises of Batman, Superman and Green Lantern and a few other comrades who fight various foes throughout the galaxy in an attempt to keep earth safe. However with each of The Avengers having their own movie to help build up their personalities and traits and these three comic book behemoths at different stages of development, Warner will have to work out a way to bring them to the big screen with disturbing their other franchises.
Of course, Batman is just about to end with The Dark Knight Rises, however it's pretty safe to assume that both Chris Nolan and Christian Bale would want nothing to do with a movie they wouldn't have 100% control over. Superman on the other hand is set to begin a new era with Man of Steel next June and the less said about Ryan Reynolds' Green Lantern the better.
Other characters like The Flash and Wonder Woman have movies that are in the script writing stage and with Gangster Squad writer Will Beall set to start work on a script over the next few weeks it looks like each of these characters would have to be recast and set apart from their previous instalments.
Anyway any film with these cavalcade of superstars involved would certainly pack a mean box office wallop and cause a mighty stir.
Any further developments will be met with huge excitement.
