Dead or Alive 5 Will Charge More for Collector’s Edition
While it’s probably poor form to speculate in a news post --we’re not certain what the price will be on every version of Dead or Alive 5 worldwide-- we’re fairly confident that the Dead or Alive 5 Collector’s Edition will cost a lot more than the sucker’s edi--- uh, regular edition because that’s just how these things work. If there’s a way to charge you more for the same product, publishers won’t hesitate. Here’s a list of the relatively inexpensive goodies TecmoKoei is throwing in for the game-buying public in the US.
That last item needs a little explaining. If you order from Amazon, you’ll get black swimsuit costumes for Tina, Ayane and Christie --the so called “DOA Devils” pack. If you go with Gamestop, you’ll get white swimsuits for Kasumi, Hitomi and Leifang --you guessed it, the “DOA Angels” pack. If you want both the black and white swimsuit packs for your in-game fighting experience, there will surely be more information on that later. We’d be willing to bet that you will be “allowed” to purchase which ever costume packs you didn’t get at a later date.
Update: The regular version of Dead or Alive 5 will go for $59.99, while the collector's edition will come in at $79.99. See we told you.
