New players, new owner, New Orleans...here's your future. Number one draft pick Anthony Davis and number ten draft pick Austin Rivers posed with Tom Benson, the Saints owner who just recently bought the Hornets from the NBA - as a new era is dawning in New Orleans. And that's news (okay I'm done).
The franchise was
stunghurt by the trade of Chris Paul before this past season started, but now with two top ten picks, the future looks bright. But not the near future. Let's get real here, rookies don't lead teams to NBA titles by themselves. Look at how the 3 and 4 year veterans of the Thunder did against the Heat this year. I can't say it enough; experience matters in the NBA.That doesn't mean the Hornets won't be exciting and fun to watch because they will be. They might even have a shot at winning 41 games. That will depend on what other help they can get in free agency and/or trades. So congratulations, Hornets fans, you have something to look forward to. Now just be patient.
