Aliens: Colonial Marines Flaunts RIVETING CORRIDORS and Hideous Beasts in New Screens (PHOTOS)

The sci-fi shooter/horror mélange that is Aliens: Colonial Marines has finally deigned to lend us some definitive knowledge-nuggets. Since 2001, the concept at the nucleus of the project has largely floated freely, a formless miasma of wonderful potential. E3 2012′s camaraderie-carnival, where developers gleefully parade their wares with all the balls-out bodaciousness of a randy peacock (or alcohol-addled celebrity who left their abode sans-underwear once more); makes plain the remarkable and encouraging strides the project has taken. With the vast array of flamboyant, drag queen-esque attention-monopolizing at the show, Colonial Marines did not stay home and eat festering beans straight from the tin like a piteous gaucho in seclusion. “Giant gorilla balls to that,” the game was heard to proclaim.

Amid some fleeting staccato volleys of gameplay, such as this protracted demonstration from gamespot; the show’s shitstorm-furore further yielded the screens you see above. The game resembles an amalgamation of Dead Space-y, Doom 3-y goretacularly grandiose gunplay. (Two fine titles to merge in a blender, I’m sure many a player will attest. As females of the species worldwide howl with chagrin that their homemade fruit smoothies will eternally taste of plastic residue thereafter, the resultant title is certainly worthy of buying some replacement kitchen gadgetry.) The proof, as always, is in the perusal, so be sure to admire the gallery.
