NBA Playoff Roundup – Pacers Don’t Mind The Heat, Spurs Win Easily
Game two between the Heat and Pacers was low scoring and physical as Indiana got the split they wanted, and San Antonio showed the Clippers that execution and hot three-point shooting are hard to beat.
Indiana 78 - Miami 75
LeBron James and Dwyane Wade did almost everything they could to get the win, except hit free throws and layups down the stretch. The Heat are definitely missing the injured Chris Bosh, but Indiana played a physical game that wore down Miami. The Heat are simply atrocious from behind the three point arc; in the two games they are 1-22 as a team. David West led the Pacers with 16 points and 10 boards. Game three is Thursday night in Indiana.
San Antonio 108 - Los Angeles Clippers 92
Tim Duncan dominated inside with 26 points and 10 rebounds, and the Spurs knocked down 13 of their 25 three point attempts in an easy 16 point win over the Clippers in game one. The Clippers showed some of the effects of their seven game first round series, with Blake Griffin and Chris Paul still a little banged up and the whole team looked a little fatigued. The Clippers didn't play particularly bad, San Antonio just played a lot better in all aspects. The Spurs outrebounded the Clips, had more assists and shot better from the field. Game 2 is Thursday night in San Antonio.
