The Boston Celtics tried to hang with the Miami Heat and were able to make it interesting for a half, but fatigue set in during the second half and Boston couldn't slow down LeBron James and Dwyane Wade.
Miami 93 - Boston 79
Miami jumped out to an early 10 point lead, as the Celtics only managed to score 11 points in the first quarter. The Celtics then went wild in the second quarter, scoring 35 to Miami's 25 to tie the game at 46 going into the half. That's when it all came apart.
James had 32 points and 10 boards to lead the Heat, with Wade dropping 22 points and 7 assists. Miami's defense was just too much for Boston, blocking eleven shots and holding the Celtics to 39.5% from the field. Kevin Garnett led Boston with 23 and 10. Boston settled for way too many jumpers, and Miami was attacking the rim. Boston has to be more aggressive and try to get to the free throw line to have a chance in game two.
Miami was cold from the three-point line, so this game could've been way more of a blowout. Check out the gallery for some great pics, and there's a new entry in there for the Battier Face collection.
