Just two games in the NBA Playoffs last night, and both were decided by 12 points. Miami finished off the Knicks as expected, and Memphis stayed alive with a win at home over the L.A. Clippers.
Miami 106 - New York 94
There's really not much to say here. Miami was going to win this series easily, the only question was whether it was going to be in four or five games. Turned out to be five. The only thing anyone cares about is if Miami is going to win a title. The main takeaway from this game is that LeBron James showed once again that he's the best basketball player on the planet right now. James led Miami in the big three stats with 29 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists, all team highs. Nobody else does that as often as he does. Love him or hate him, LeBron is beyond talented.
Memphis 92 - Los Angeles Clippers 80
For Memphis it was win or start vacation, so they came out and outplayed the Clippers from the get-go. Memphis utilized their big men, Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol, to jump out to a 15 point halftime lead. The Grizzlies big men combined to shoot 14 for 18 in the first half. The second half started the same, with Memphis extending their lead to 24, but unlike game one when the Clippers stormed back, the Griz held on. Game six is in Los Angeles Friday night, with the Clips holding a 3-2 series lead.
