‘The Dictator’ App Launches: Can You Survive the Wadiyan Games? (VIDEO)
DOWNLOAD THE FREE 'DICTATOR' APP
The Dictator doesn't hit theaters until a few more weeks, so the folks behind the movie cooked up this free app for iOS that lets players get a taste of what it's like to be General Aladeen.
Aladeen is the Wadiyan dictator that Sacha Baron Cohen portrays on the big screen. Players take on the role of the General as they compete in four of his events: running, boxing, swimming, and fencing.
Maybe the games are a reference to the upcoming London Olympics (since the events are similar) or maybe it's just riding on the waves of The Hunger Games (given the brutality that exists in both games.) Whatever it is, it makes for some fun gaming and is perfect for players who can't stand to lose because General Aladeen is always at an advantage--even though he's at a skillful disadvantage in the event itself.
Check out the following screenshots and you'll understand what I mean:
When you've received gold medals at all four events, make sure to spread the word about your success by uploading a headshot alongside the infamous dictator and sharing it through email, Facebook, or Twitter.
The Dictator: Wadiyan Games app is playable on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch and can be downloaded here.
The Dictator opens in theaters nationwide on May 16th.
