The Star Trek reboot was a monumental success. Not only was it embraced by 'Trekkies' worldwide but mainstream audiences also loved JJ Abrams interpretation of Spock and Kirk's exploits, resulting in the film making a shed load of money upon its release. Of course this meant that a sequel was granted almost immediately and over the last 24 months the cast has increased to include Alice Eve (phwoarh!) and Benedict Cumberbatch alongside Zachary Quinto, Chris Pine, Simon Pegg and Zoe Saldana.
Star Trek 2 recently started shooting and now MTV.com has revealed some on-set snaps of Quinto, Cumberbatch and Saldana playing together.
The images show Spock and Uhura doing battle with Cumberbatch's unnamed character, with his appearance not giving us the slightest hint of who he might be portraying. You can view the images below and unfortunately Saldana's skirt isn't short enough to look up of, which is a shame. Fingers crossed that this has been saved for an Alice Eve and Zoe Saldana lesbian love scene. A man can dream.
